PRWCA Vit Tech: Irrigation Planning + Performance

The PRWCA is hosting a Spring Vit Tech Seminar on Irrigation Planning + Performance at Zobèto Winery in Paso Robles on April 30th.
This hands-on event will cover the full lifecycle of vineyard irrigation—from planning and field execution to regulatory reporting and compliance.
The seminar will begin with a discussion of irrigation strategies, highlighting different schools of thought and the key data sources growers use when developing an effective irrigation plan. The next segment will focus on executing that plan in the field using precision irrigation technology and block-level performance data. The program will conclude with an overview of evolving water regulations and reporting requirements affecting vineyard operations.
The event will feature a panel discussion with industry experts:
- Stasi Seay, Hope Family Wines
- Jordy Lonborg, Coastal Vineyard Care Associates
- Lucas Pope, Alterra Solutions (formerly Coastal Vineyard Services)
- Devon Wright, Lumo
- Condor Earth Technologies will cover water reporting requirements and regulatory compliance.
Folks will leave with a deeper understanding of how to build effective irrigation plans, implement precision tools to improve vineyard performance, and stay compliant with the latest water management regulations.
