Field Technician
The Field Technician is responsible for supporting customers and partners through troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues, installation, and maintenance of the Lumo system. This role reports to the Director, Customer Success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure preparedness of tools, parts, and vehicles for field support calls and field installations
- Ensure quality standards are met by Lumo team and partners through assessment, oversight, and training
- Perform initial site visits to ensure a smooth installation process
- System implementation and maintenance of Lumo products, including proper configuration and testing
- Support customers through troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues
- Monitor data to identify system issues
- Assist in onboarding new customers and partners to the Lumo system and processes
- Work with the R&D, Product, and Engineering and product teams to test and troubleshoot
- Proactively identify issues while onsite and provide recommendations and/or solutions to both internal and external teams
- Maintain up-to-date on product knowledge, firmware, and other technical processes and procedures
- Maintain detailed service reports, recording repair details, and updating system records
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on-site
Requirements
- Hybrid role with proximity to Santa Rosa, CA or Napa, CA
- Valid driver’s license, ability and willingness to travel to job sites regularly
- Proven track record of working in a customer-facing role
- Excellent customer communication and support, in-field and remote
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Detail and process-oriented
- Interest in and ability to learn basic data analysis and technical skills in IoT devices
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical work in-field
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus
- Experience in agriculture, irrigation, or related field a plus
