Hardware Warranty
- Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers Lumo products sold as part of the Lumo Smart Valve System including 2” Valve, 4” Valve, Lumo Base Station and Lumo Wifi Relay. The warranty applies to defects in materials, workmanship, and manufacturing that may affect the performance, durability, or safety of the Product during normal use. Note: Lumo sources from suppliers and does not provide coverage for any defects in materials, workmanship, manufacturing on behalf of Lumo suppliers.
- Warranty Period
Lumo provides a warranty of 3 years from the date of installation or purchase (whichever is earlier) for the Products.
The Standard Warranty coverage automatically extends as long as Lumo’s software as-a-service subscription continues without an interruption from the initial system installation. Any replacement parts installed during repairs or maintenance are granted a new Standard Warranty from the date of repair or installation.
- Obligations of Lumo
Lumo agrees to, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective Product or component that is covered under this warranty, free of charge. Lumo will cover the cost of shipping any replacement parts or Products to Reseller (if applicable) or Customer during the warranty period. Lumo will provide technical assistance to Reseller (if applicable) or Customer to diagnose and address warranty claims.
- Obligations of the Customer
The Customer must use the Products only for their intended purpose and follow all operating and maintenance instructions provided by Lumo, including ensuring that Products are installed in accordance to Lumo’s guidelines and local regulations. Customer shall perform regular maintenance on the Products as per Lumo's guidelines. Customers also must notify their Reseller (if applicable) or Lumo of any defect covered under this warranty within 30 days of discovery. Customer shall allow the Lumo Representative or Lumo reasonable access to inspect and repair the Products during the warranty period.
- Exclusions from Warranty
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Damage or performance issues due to normal wear and tear of components.
- Misuse or Negligence: Any damage caused by improper installation, unauthorized modifications, misuse, abuse, or negligence by the Customer including damage caused by activity on site such as tractor damage.
- Environmental Damage: Damage resulting from Acts of God.
- Third-Party Repairs: Damage or defects arising from repairs or alterations made by unauthorized third parties.
- Consumables: Parts that naturally wear out over time, such as filters or gaskets, unless defective at the time of sale.
- Any defect originating from actions of Lumo supplier (prior to Lumo Product receipt from its suppliers)
- Limitations of Liability
Lumo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Product, including but not limited to loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of data. Lumo’s total liability under this warranty shall be limited to the cost of the Product that is subject to the warranty claim.
- Procedure for Warranty Claims
Customers wishing to file a warranty claim must notify their Reseller (if applicable) or Lumo of the issue, providing proof of purchase and a description of the defect. The Reseller or Lumo will inspect the Product and determine whether the defect falls under the warranty terms. If the claim is valid, Lumo will arrange for repair or replacement of the defective Product or part. In the event of a dispute regarding a warranty claim, Lumo’s decision shall be final.
- Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable, and only applies to the original Customer unless otherwise agreed in writing by Lumo.
- Amendments
These warranty terms may be updated or amended from time to time. Any changes must be communicated in writing to Customers.
